British Championships!!!
Overall a very good Championship for us. We finished in 5th place overall. We are very proud of our result given we have only been skating together for 6 months. We had good skates in all three categories and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Pictures to follow soon!!!

Wonderful News!
We have just received official confirmation that we have qualified for the British Championships 2006/2007.

Welsh Championships 2006 - Day 2!
Original Dance and Freedance today. Not a wonderful skate for us in the Original Dance but never-the-less respectable, keeps us in 4th place overall. The Freedance on the other hand was an unforgettable experience. We drew 2nd to skate, the competitors before us had trouble with their costumes and beads were scattered on the ice. As a result the referee instructed a complete resurface and a new warm-up. We therefore became 1st to skate! Approximately 30 minutes after we were originally due to skate we took to the ice. We had a wonderful skate placing us 1st on the Freedance and 3rd overall. We wwre delighted.

Welsh Championships 2006 - Day 1!
Very pleased with our performance. Fairly good skate given that the Compulsory Dance is the Golden Waltz. We finish in 4th place.

19th November 2006
Welsh championships 2006!
We have drawn 4th out of 5 for the compulsory dance golden waltz. Smiles all round!!!

17th & 18th October 2006
Scottish Championships 2006!
We compete in all sections of the event. Not a great skate in the Compulsory Dance placing us 5th. A solid performance in the Original Dance placed us 4th in that section but still 5th overall. The Freedance was our favourite skate so far. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and attained level 4 on all lifts - we are particularly proud of that!! We placed 4th on the Freedance and pulled up to 4th overall. All in all, a successful event. Hard work starts for the next event!!

1st October 2006
Our First Win!
Deeside Annual Competition. We skate the Rhumba Compulsary Dance, Original Dance and Freedance. The first time out in competition with these routines. Although not skated as perfect as we would have liked, overall a positive event and experience. Thank you to all supporters at the event - particularly in the last minute of our four minute Freedance!

Hockey Match Entertainment!!!
Earlier on in the week we were asked on behalf of our Ice Skating Club to represent them at an ice hockey match. In all innocence we said yes! We were required to demonstrate our original dance, in the break of the first period. After, no warm up, two false starts and some negotiation with hockey goals we managed to skate clean!! What a great experience around a 1000 spectators attended. Thank you Deeside Ice Skating Club and Manchester Pheonix.

6th September 2006
SPLAT!!!!!
We have finished the freedance - in a heap and in pain. We visit Royal Chester Hospital. Owen acquired a large gash down his back which had to be glued back together and Louise took the fall on her left leg and is advised to rest.

29th August 2006
Our Debut!
Sheffield NJS competition and our 11th week anniversary (quite an achievement). We decided just to show our Compulsory Dance - Westminster Waltz. Great practice, good skate, but could have been better in competition. 4th overall - all of our team pleased given length of our preparation time.

Horrified!
Louise draws first for the competition. Not pleased but we'll get over it :-)

10th July 2006
Music for 2006/2007 decided!
Original dance a combination of authentic Argentine Tango and Ballroom Tango. Freedance (because Louise loves Johnny Depp and Owen wants to be a pirate), Pirates Of The Caribbean.  Now find a costume that is not naff!!

7th June 2006
Its official!
We finally secure our partnership. Here's to the journey that follows...
